All participants must be a member in good standing of the NDIP Tennis Club.
The season begins in mid-May if the weather allows it and ends in mid to late September.
The players are beginner and intermediate caliber (level 1.5 to 2.5)
Meet people and play against players of your caliber.
Each month a schedule is made according to the availability of each player.
The games take place in the evenings (Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday).
You will have one (1) or sometimes two (2) games per week as per your availablity.
The games will take place at a local court such as des Hirondelles, des Éperviers and Michel-Martin.
The games are preferably scheduled for Monday and Tuesday but can take place on Wednesday as well.
The games can be played at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m. or 9 p.m. according to court availability.
The games last one (1) hour.
The first player to obtain 8 points is declared the winner.
After the game, the scores must be entered on the board by one of the two players (usually the winner enters the score). This table allows you to follow your progress throughout the season.
If it rains, the game is canceled but players can resume it on another day at their discretion.
If you are not able to attend your scheduled match, please let your partner know so that he or she does not come for nothing. Try to find another player to replace you or try to schedule another time for your game with your partner.
Furthermore, in the event your match must be cancelled, you must free your court with the code that was given to you at the start of the season.
The calculation will be done as follows:
4 POINTS - if you won the match by 4 or more games (e.g. 8-4, 7-2 or 6-0)
3 POINTS - if you won by 1, 2 or 3 games (ex. 8-5, 6-5 or 5-2)
2 POINTS - if you finished in a tie
1 POINT - if you lost (participation point)
0 POINT - if you haven't played
0 POINT - rain and you did not resume the game INSERT 0 to each player
-1 POINT - absent without notice INSERT 0 to the player present and -1 to the one who did not show up
Points are counted for each period and a new table is available at the start of the following period.
