Used Uniform Prep Lead

Job Description

As the Used Uniform Sales Lead, you are a member of the Used Uniform Team, who manages the team that prepares the uniform pieces that have recently been donated and consigned for the sale. Your attention to detail aids you in spotting flaws in the uniform pieces, which would require mending and tagging them with the proper information in order to ensure consigners are paid properly after the pieces are sold. You work in unison with the Used Uniform Team Lead and the Used Uniform Prep Lead to make the Used Uniform Sale as successful as possible.

Responsibilities

• organizing volunteers (adults and students)

• organizing date/time/location of inventory preparation session before a sale.

• organizing set up and take down of inventory preparation session

• manage prep session including volunteers

• notifies the school janitors of the session in the hospitality room (Rm 140)

• Purchase/provide necessary foods and beverages for volunteers (to be reimbursed).

• working with the Used Uniform Mender. on mending uniform pieces

Time Allotment for Role

• Total ~5 hours per month

• 5-6 hours per inventory prep session usually two per sale (minimum two sales per year).

  • one for washing and prepping clothing (tag, document item, )

  • one for prepping washed clothing

• Reviewing clothing to determine if mending is needed (~ a 2 hour session after significant donation events)

• Working with with Used Uniform Mender for uniform mending (max ~1 hour per month via email exchanges and clothes drop-off and pick up.)

• Communications with Used Uniform Team Lead and Used Uniform Prep Lead - max 3 hours per month
