為協助教師將永續發展與淨零碳排議題融入課程設計,工學院於2026年6月24日舉辦「設計思考化的淨零碳排學習評量尺規設計」教師共備工作坊,邀請國立中央大學詹明峰副教授及國立臺北商業大學黃鼎豪副教授共同分享教學設計與評量規劃經驗。工作坊以設計思考為核心,帶領教師從學習目標、課程活動到評量設計進行系統性規劃,並透過案例分析、小組討論及實作演練,共同發展符合課程需求的評量尺規。活動同時探討形成性評量與總結性評量的應用,協助教師更有效掌握學生學習成效,進一步提升教學品質與永續素養培育成果。
On June 24, 2026, the College of Engineering at National Central University hosted the faculty workshop “Designing Net-Zero Learning Assessment Rubrics through Design Thinking.” The workshop featured Associate Professor Ming-Feng Chan of National Central University and Associate Professor Ding-Hao Huang of National Taipei University of Business, who shared their experiences in instructional design and assessment development. Centered on design thinking, the workshop guided participants through the systematic process of aligning learning objectives, instructional activities, and assessment strategies. Through case studies, group discussions, and hands-on exercises, faculty members collaboratively developed assessment rubrics tailored to sustainability and net-zero education topics. The event also explored both formative and summative assessment approaches, helping educators better evaluate student learning outcomes while strengthening the integration of sustainability concepts into higher education.
為協助教師了解產學合作推動策略與實務經驗,工學院於2026年6月8日舉辦「產學合作經驗分享座談會」,邀請吳子嘉教授、陳世晃教授、吳育仁教授、莊順興教授及洪緯瑢教授分享多年來投入產學合作的心得與實務經驗。座談會由王冠文副院長開場,五位講者分別從合作模式建立、產業需求發掘、研究成果技術移轉、學生專題結合產業議題,以及產學合作計畫執行等面向進行分享,呈現學術研究與產業需求接軌的多元經驗。綜合座談階段,與會教師也針對計畫申請、合作媒合及執行挑戰等議題熱烈交流。本次活動透過經驗分享與跨領域對話,協助教師深入了解產學合作的推動模式與發展機會,進一步強化工學院研究成果落實應用及鏈結產業發展的能量。
On June 8, 2026, the College of Engineering organized the Industry-Academia Collaboration Experience Sharing Forum to promote faculty engagement in industry collaboration and strengthen research impact. The forum was opened by Associate Dean Kuan-Wen Wang and featured presentations from Prof. Albert T. Wu, Prof. Shih-Huang Chen, Prof. Yu-Jen Wu, Prof. Shun-Hsing Chuang, and Prof. Wei-Hsuan Hung. The speakers shared their experiences in building industry partnerships, identifying industrial needs, integrating research outcomes with practical applications, connecting student projects with real-world challenges, and managing collaborative projects. The event concluded with an interactive discussion session, where participants exchanged ideas on proposal preparation, partnership development, and challenges in industry-academia collaboration. The workshop featured Fulbright speaker Allison Baker, who shared practical teaching strategies to improve clarity and student comprehension in EMI classrooms.Titled “Make Your Message Stick,” the workshop focused on effective communication in English-medium teaching. Topics included articulation, pronunciation, pacing, instructional delivery techniques, and strategies for checking student understanding. Through real examples and interactive discussions, participants were encouraged to reflect on their teaching from the students’ perspective. The session also highlighted practical approaches such as rephrasing, chunking content, and incorporating interactive methods like Think-Pair-Share to enhance student engagement. This workshop not only facilitated meaningful exchanges among faculty members but also demonstrated the College’s ongoing commitment to advancing EMI teaching quality and fostering an internationalized learning environment.

On March 5, 2026, the College of Engineering hosted a faculty salon titled “Uedu Teaching Practice Platform Sharing.” The session invited Prof. Chang Chia-Kai from the Center for General Education to introduce Uedu, an AI-assisted teaching platform developed at NCU, and to share practical experiences of integrating the platform into classroom teaching and learning interaction. The event continued the College’s tradition of a relaxed “lunch-and-discussion” format, encouraging faculty members to exchange ideas on the use of AI in education. During the presentation, Prof. Chang introduced several key features of the Uedu platform, including AI-assisted dialogue learning, automated quiz generation, real-time translation, and learning analytics. These tools help instructors design courses more effectively while enhancing student engagement and understanding. The session also sparked lively discussions among faculty members on practical classroom applications of AI-supported teaching tools. Through this faculty salon, participants gained valuable insights into innovative teaching practices and explored new possibilities for integrating AI into engineering education.
