國立中央大學工學院於 2025 年 10 月 21 日與 Fulbright Taiwan 合作舉辦「AI-Enhanced Course Design 教師工作坊」,由 Fulbright EMI 顧問 William Jones 主講,帶領教師探索如何運用生成式 AI 強化課程設計與教學創新。活動以「AI 助力課程創新」為主軸,內容包含 AI 提示設計(Prompt Engineering)實作、AI 輸出評估及學生使用趨勢反思等。教師們透過互動實作與小組討論,親自體驗 AI 在教學中的應用,並分享跨領域的創新想法。此次工作坊促進了教師之間的經驗交流,也展現中大工學院推動智慧教學與 EMI 教育創新的持續努力。
The College of Engineering at National Central University (NCU), in collaboration with Fulbright Taiwan, held the “AI-Enhanced Course Design” workshop on October 21, 2025. Led by Fulbright EMI Advisor William Jones, the session guided faculty to explore how generative AI can enhance curriculum design and teaching innovation. The workshop introduced Prompt Engineering practices, AI output evaluation, and reflections on student AI-use trends. Through hands-on practice and group discussion, participants experienced how AI can inspire creative and effective EMI teaching. The event fostered professional exchange among faculty and underscored NCU’s ongoing commitment to advancing AI-driven, human-centered education.
國立中央大學工學院於 2025 年 9 月 19 日舉辦「午茶分享交流活動」,邀請材料所鄭憲清老師與院內師長共聚一堂,分享其家常料理的烹調經驗與生活觀察,並現場沖泡高山野生烏龍茶,營造輕鬆溫馨的交流氛圍。老師以照片與簡報方式介紹個人料理心得與步驟,從日常料理談到飲食美學,讓在場師長透過畫面感受到食物背後的情感與細節。雖然當天沒有現場烹飪,但搭配老師親自沖泡的高山野生烏龍茶與現場提供的午餐與點心,整場活動充滿人情味與分享精神。透過這場兼具知性與感性的午茶聚會,工學院展現對教師生活面向的關注,也以多元形式促進同儕之間的理解與連結,打造一個溫暖有溫度的學術社群。
On September 19, 2025, the College of Engineering at National Central University hosted a warm and informal faculty tea gathering. Professor Jason Shian-Ching Jang from the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering presented personal insights into home cooking, accompanied by photos and step-by-step guides that reflected culinary warmth and daily life wisdom. While no live cooking was performed, attendees enjoyed freshly brewed high-mountain oolong tea prepared by the speaker. The event also offered lunch and light snacks, fostering a friendly and relaxed atmosphere for meaningful interaction. This tea gathering not only showcased the College’s commitment to faculty well-being, but also encouraged human-centered academic community building through storytelling, cultural sharing, and thoughtful conversation.

4月24日,由黃冠嶺老師以「來一杯巴黎左岸的咖啡」為題,結合他在巴黎綜合理工學院的訪學經驗,從法國橋梁力學、博物館巡禮到咖啡沖煮的物理原理,跨越科學與日常,引領大家思考工程教育與生活美感的交會。5月25日,簡思佳老師則以親子單車旅程為起點,分享她在城市移動、親子互動與自然觀察中所蘊藏的教學靈感,並引導參與者思考教師如何在日常中積累跨領域觀點,轉化為教學設計的素材。
本次教師沙龍展現工學院教師在專業與生活間的流動視野,亦鼓勵更多跨領域、跨經驗的教學對話。
This semester, the College of Engineering at NCU hosted two uniquely themed faculty salons, inviting instructors to share how personal experiences can become meaningful sources of teaching insight and innovation.
On April 24, Prof. Kuan-Ling Huang delivered a talk titled “A Cup of Coffee on the Left Bank of Paris”, blending his academic visit to École Polytechnique with reflections on French bridge mechanics, museum visits, and the physics of coffee extraction—offering a rare integration of science and daily life, and prompting reflection on aesthetics in engineering education. On May 25, Prof. Szu-Chia Chien took participants on a different journey, drawing from her parent-child cycling adventures across Taipei. She illustrated how simple moments in urban exploration, family interaction, and nature observation can inspire fresh teaching perspectives and interdisciplinary thinking.
These two salons highlighted the dynamic thinking of NCU faculty—where engineering meets life, and inspiration flows across boundaries.
為因應雙語教育政策並提升教師英語授課能力,國立中央大學工學院於2025年4月15日舉辦「EMI教師工作坊」,邀請多位具備實務經驗的教師分享他們在全英語授課(EMI)中的挑戰與課堂策略,吸引眾多院內外教師參與。
本次活動聚焦於「語言運用」與「教學設計」的雙重挑戰,包括課程規劃、學生參與、語境建立與互動機制等面向。與會教師積極分享自身課堂經驗,並展開熱烈對話,彼此學習、激盪更多可能。
工學院表示,未來將持續推動EMI教學支持機制與專業社群建構,協助教師提升教學品質,並深化工程教育的國際視野與語言力。
To support Taiwan’s bilingual education policy and enhance EMI teaching capacity, the College of Engineering at National Central University (NCU) held an EMI Teaching Workshop on April 15, 2025. The event featured experienced instructors sharing classroom strategies and insights on overcoming the challenges of English-medium instruction, drawing enthusiastic participation from faculty across the campus.
The workshop addressed the dual challenge of language use and instructional design, covering course planning, student engagement, classroom interaction, and context-building. Faculty members actively exchanged ideas and reflected on their own teaching experiences, fostering a vibrant and supportive professional community.
The College stated that it will continue to strengthen support systems and build professional networks for EMI instruction, empowering teachers and expanding the global and linguistic competence of engineering education.
國立中央大學工學院於2025年4月10日舉辦教師專題演講,特別邀請國立彰化師範大學段曉林老師,以「計畫書的撰寫:由構想到實踐的系統思考歷程」為題,與在場教師分享撰寫教學計畫書的策略與思維路徑。段老師以十二個清晰步驟,細緻拆解從問題意識、教學目標、研究設計到資料蒐集與評估的完整歷程,協助教師系統化建構可行的行動研究方案。
本次講座內容結合理論與實務,涵蓋 PBL 設計、學習成效評量、資料信效度分析等實例,讓參與者不僅理解計畫的結構,更獲得轉化教學現場經驗為研究成果的實用技巧。
On April 10, 2025, the College of Engineering at National Central University hosted a faculty lecture featuring Professor Hsiao-Lin Tuan from National Changhua University of Education. In her talk titled "From Concept to Implementation: A Systematic Process for Writing Teaching Proposals," Prof. Tuan guided participants through a twelve-step framework to help educators design effective, research-based teaching plans grounded in classroom needs and educational goals.
The lecture covered both theoretical and practical aspects, including PBL frameworks, student learning outcome assessments, and data validity considerations. Attendees gained actionable strategies for transforming everyday teaching experiences into structured, impactful research proposals.

On April 1, 2025, the College of Engineering at National Central University held its Faculty Exchange Forum and Instrumentation Center Briefing, bringing together deans, faculty leaders, and professors across departments. The event focused on four major themes: curriculum innovation, global student recruitment, faculty research support, and resource sharing. Associate Dean Chih-Ang Chung introduced the college’s efforts in expanding EMI (English-Medium Instruction) and implementing the New Engineering Curriculum, which incorporates theme-based clusters and hands-on TIPs modules to enhance interdisciplinary learning. Associate Dean Jieh-Haur Chen shared outcomes from the college’s recent visit to several Vietnamese universities, highlighting opportunities for PhD student recruitment, joint programs, and academic collaboration across Southeast Asia. Associate Dean Kuan-Wen Wang presented the Seed Research Team Program, designed to support small faculty teams in initiating cross-disciplinary collaboration in preparation for major grant applications. Associate Dean Shao-Liang Cheng explained the Research Incentive Policy, which awards faculty based on journal quality, authorship, and international collaboration. Faculty may receive up to NT$15,000 per year for high-impact publications. The session concluded with a detailed presentation by the Precision Instrumentation Center, introducing the lab’s equipment capabilities, usage guidelines, and technical support services. This forum provided a comprehensive platform for sharing resources and aligning strategy—reinforcing the college’s commitment to teaching excellence, research development, and international engagement.
