為協助研究生善用生成式AI工具提升研究效率,工學院於2026年6月10日舉辦「用AI提升研究效率:打造碩博士生必備的學術工作流」系列工作坊,邀請君邑資訊林士傑老師分享AI在學術研究與資料整理上的實務應用。本次活動分為兩場主題課程,首先介紹 Felo、Perplexity 與 ChatGPT 等工具在文獻搜尋、資料蒐集與研究分析上的應用,協助學生建立更有效率的研究流程;第二場則聚焦 NotebookLM 的使用技巧,分享如何運用AI進行教學與研究資料整理、重點歸納及知識管理。透過實際操作與案例示範,參與學生進一步了解生成式AI工具在學術研究中的應用潛力,學習如何結合AI提升研究效率與資訊整合能力,為未來研究工作建立更完善的數位學術工作流。
To help graduate students leverage generative AI technologies in academic research, the College of Engineering hosted the workshop series “Enhancing Research Efficiency with AI: Building Essential Academic Workflows for Graduate Students” on June 10, 2026. The sessions were led by Mr. Shih-Chieh Lin from Junyi Information Technology, who shared practical applications of AI tools for research and knowledge management. The workshop consisted of two sessions. The first introduced tools such as Felo, Perplexity, and ChatGPT for literature search, information gathering, and research support. The second focused on NotebookLM and demonstrated how AI can assist with organizing research materials, summarizing key information, and managing academic knowledge. Through hands-on demonstrations and practical examples, participants gained valuable insights into integrating AI tools into their research processes, helping them improve productivity, information management, and overall academic efficiency.

On May 19, 2026, the College of Engineering hosted the “CoolPad Challenge - Innovative Software & Application Contest” themed “Innovation and Practice in the AI Era.” The event showcased students’ creativity and practical skills in programming and artificial intelligence applications. The competition encouraged students to apply various software tools and AI technologies to address real-world problems. Through interdisciplinary teamwork, participants developed integrated solutions and demonstrated their implementation capabilities. The event included both a preliminary document review and a final on-site presentation, where selected teams presented their projects and interacted with judges. The competition featured a vibrant atmosphere, with teams presenting innovative and well-developed projects. From problem analysis to system design, the works demonstrated strong potential for real-world application. This event not only enhanced students’ practical skills in AI and software development but also promoted interdisciplinary collaboration and highlighted the college’s commitment to cultivating future engineering talent.
為加強師生交流與了解學生需求,工學院於2026年5月18日舉辦「院長與學生座談會」,邀請院長與學生進行面對面交流,傾聽學生對課程學習、校園生活及學習環境等議題的想法與建議。座談會中,學生分享自身經驗與觀察,提出對學習資源及教學安排的意見。院長亦針對相關議題進行回應與說明,透過開放且輕鬆的對話方式,促進彼此理解與溝通。本次活動不僅提供學生表達意見的平台,也展現工學院重視學生聲音與持續優化學習環境的努力,進一步建立良好的校園互動與交流氛圍。
The College of Engineering held a “Dean–Student Forum” on May 18, 2026, to strengthen communication between students and the College administration. The event provided an opportunity for students to share their thoughts on academic learning, campus life, and the overall learning environment through face-to-face discussions with the Dean. During the forum, students actively shared their experiences and suggestions regarding learning resources, teaching arrangements, and campus facilities. The Dean also responded to students’ questions and feedback, fostering mutual understanding through open and constructive dialogue. The event not only created a valuable platform for student voices to be heard, but also reflected the College’s commitment to enhancing the learning environment and building a more connected campus community.

On March 31, 2026, the College of Engineering hosted “The Eggventure Hunt,” a student event combining Easter traditions with interactive challenges. Led by a Fulbright speaker, the activity introduced the cultural meaning of Easter—symbolizing renewal and hope—through an engaging egg hunt and problem-solving tasks. Students worked in teams to follow clues, complete challenges, and communicate in English, creating a lively and interactive learning environment. The event not only enhanced students’ language skills but also promoted cross-cultural understanding, reflecting the College’s commitment to global learning and student engagement.

On March 17, 2026, the College of Engineering at National Central University held the Capstone Project Presentation Competition, bringing together student teams from different departments to present the outcomes of their capstone projects. Through poster displays, project demonstrations, and short presentations, students showcased the results of hands-on engineering learning and practical problem-solving. The competition featured teams recommended by various departments, with project topics covering diverse areas of engineering. Each team delivered a brief presentation and participated in a Q&A session with the judging panel to explain the motivation, methodology, and outcomes of their projects.
