2026 Harry J. Cowherd Award Nominations Being Accepted
The Division of FRYSC is now accepting nominations for this prestigious award, honoring a center that has excelled in its crucial role of serving kids and families. This Award for Center Excellence is named in honor of the late Dr. Harry J. Cowherd, former Secretary of the Cabinet for Human Resources, and a staunch advocate for the concept of Family Resource and Youth Services Centers. It is awarded to a center that has contributed to Dr. Cowherd's tremendous legacy by demonstrating center excellence above and beyond its normal center operations.
All required information, the nomination form, narrative questions, and letter(s) of support, must be completed and submitted by the deadline to be eligible for consideration. Self-nominations are accepted. Please be prepared to upload 1 to 3 letters of support to this application form. The deadline for submissions is by the end of the day on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Bridges Over Barriers Awards Nomination Information
Dear FRYSC Family:
Just a reminder that there is an online submission form where you can nominate Individuals, Non-Profits, or For Profit businesses in your community for the annual Bridges Over Barriers (BOB) Awards.
The Family Resource and Youth Services Coalition of Kentucky (FRYSCKy) presents these awards at each year's Fall Institute. You may submit a nomination at any time and it will be reviewed for the next BOB Awards' program. The deadline for the 2026 award nominations is Wednesday, September 16th.
Winners are invited to the Fall Institute to be recognized and to receive their award. All nominees receive a letter and a certificate recognizing their contributions and letting them know that they were nominated by their local FRYSC.
