You can download 3D files from Thingiverse or create your own design in Tinkercad. An .STL file is the most common file type used for 3D printers. You can print files from many other sources, just be sure that you are able to export or save as a .STL file. Both Thingiverse and Tinkercad are browser-based. You can download from both at the library OR bring your files with you on a flashdrive.

Can you design a keychain in Tinkercad?
Login or create an account at Tinkercad.com. Click “Create a New Design”.
A name keychain is very easy to make! In the right sidebar, click “Basic Shapes” and select “Text” from the dropdown menu and add the letters of your name to the work plane.
Adjust the size and position of your letters. Make sure the letters overlap to be connected. Switch back to “Basic Shapes” from the dropdown menu.
What other shapes can you add to your design? How would you add a keyring hole?
When you are done, click “Export” and select .STL.
