We are a 100% volunteer-based, not-for-profit group who began with a vision to rejuvenate the Region VI meetings, otherwise known as the "Asilomar conference", which were held at the Asilomar conference grounds in Pacific Grove through the early 2000s.

Chaired by two experienced genetic counselors who have practiced in the Bay Area for decades, the NCCGC conference brings together genetic counselors from the Northern California area to provide relevant continuing education facilitated by local genetic counselor speakers as well as to encourage professional networking in a casual, retreat-like setting.
