Close-Ups Of Envelopes We "Hand-Drew" For Our Navy Pen Pal Letters

Students volunteered to draw scenes on manila envelopes we used for our mailings. None of the envelopes were done during class time. Each student who volunteered took the envelopes home and drew the scenes and colored them as homework. Each ship received several envelopes from us.
The envelopes contained:

• letters from all of Mrs. LaRow's English classes

• newspaper clippings of news articles about our project

• photocopies of letters of thanks we received from different ships

•  25 ft. long banners with sayings we created that rhymed with the names of
  the ships
