Algorithmic
The majority of the solve is either algorithmic or automatic. If using the dbR 1x2x2 first strategy for the 2x2x2 block, everything starting from solving the DB edge can be algorithmic. TPS will then be better than a method that is mostly intuitive.
Versatile
Whether you are a fan of methods that end in a last layer or methods that use alternate move sets such as MU or RrU, Nautilus has that covered.
Fun
Nautilus introduces a new kind of blockbuilding. Many interesting techniques can be used to solve the 2x2x2 block in the second step.
The concept and primary shape of Nautilus is versatile. This has allowed for it to be adapted to various puzzles.
Big Cubes
The shape of Nautilus can be expanded to work on big cubes. Below is the page for the big cube version of Nautilus.
Square-1
Ryan Hudgens (aka OreKehStrah) has adapted Nautilus to the Square-1, complete with some interesting variants. View the method in the link below.
FTO
The ergonomics and blindspot removal concept of Nautilus has also been adapted to the FTO.
Extra
Other variants have been developed or considered for Nautilus. However, none are recommended over L5E or LSLL. For those who are curious, they can be viewed here.
