Since the park is located near a natural water body and dam at the foot of Malancha Hill, the administration has introduced boating as a key recreational activity.
Activity: You can enjoy pedal boating or row boating on the calm waters adjacent to the hill.
The Experience: It offers a unique view of the Maa Malancha Temple and the rugged hill cliffs from the water, making it a favorite spot for photographers and couples.
Safety: Life jackets are mandatory and provided at the boarding point.
Best Time: Late afternoon (around 4:00 PM) is the best time for Noka Bihar to catch the sunset over the water.
It is important not to confuse this with the Malancha Nature Park in Rasulpur, Bardhaman (West Bengal).
Bardhaman Site: Also offers extensive "Noka Bihar" across seven different lakes and is a larger commercial resort.
Jamtara (Nala) Site: Focuses on the natural dam water and provides a more rustic, scenic experience at the base of the spiritual Malancha Hill.
Besides Boating (Noka Bihar), the Nala site now includes:
Cottages: Stay options for those who want to spend the night.
Open Air Stage: For local cultural programs and the Magh Mela events.
Watchtower: To get a bird's-eye view of the entire Noka Bihar area and the surrounding forest.
