Covid safety rules for volunteers

Whether you're making sack lunches at home, helping cook in the St. Mark's kitchen, or volunteering on site at NH please read and follow the attached guidelines. If you are unvaccinated your option would be to make sack lunches at home with gloves and masks, but not to volunteer on site at SML or NH. Thanks!

Remember- Do NOT Volunteer if you are sick!

  • If yes, you cannot schedule to volunteer until three days with no fever without taking fever-reducing medication, and symptoms have improved, and it’s been 10 days since symptoms first appeared.

2. Has anyone in your household experienced these symptoms in the last few days? Fever of 100.4 or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell?

  • If yes, you cannot sign up to volunteer until 14 days after the entire household meets the following criteria:

    • At least three days with no fever without taking fever-reducing medication, and symptoms have improved, and it’s been 10 days since symptoms first appeared.

3. Have you been in close contact with anyone outside of household members who has tested positive for COVID-19?

  • If yes, you can’t volunteer again until you have been symptom free for 14 days.

  • Close Contact includes any of the following:

    • Direct contact with secretions from a COVID-19+ person (coughed on, sharing utensils, kissing, etc.)

    • Being within six feet of a COVID+ person for 10-15 minutes or more

Surgical masks are required on site and if working at St. Mark's kitchen. Masks are an essential part of keeping everyone safe even if you are vaccinated.

Thank you!
