During the September 11 2001 attacks, 2,977 people were killed, 19 hijackers committed murder–suicide, and more than 6,000 others were injured. Of the 2,996 total deaths (including the terrorists), 2,763 were in the World Trade Center and the surrounding area, 189 were at the Pentagon, and 44 were in Pennsylvania.

The September 11th attack was a series of suicide terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11th, 2001. Al Qaeda admitted that it launched this attack. In the morning, 19 Al Qaeda terrorists hijacked four passenger planes.
At 07:59 in the morniing. American Airlines Flight 11 takes off from Boston Logan International Airport and flies to Los Angeles. At that time, all the crew members were on duty, including a driver, co-pilot and nine flight attendants. Five hijackers infiltrated the flight among the 81 passengers.

At 08:14 in the morning, at another terminal of Boston Airport, United Airlines Flight 175 took off, and its destination was Los Angeles. There were 9 crew members and 56 passengers on board. Five of them were hijackers.

At 08:20 in the morning, American Airlines Flight 77 took off from Washington Dulles International Airport in Washington, DC, with six crew members and 58 passengers on board, including five hijackers.

United Airlines Flight 93 takes off from Newark International Airport in New Jersey and flies to San Francisco. When UA93 took off, the second plane UA175 was hijacked in mid-air.
