Hi, I’m Natalie Perez! Welcome to my digital space.
I am a dedicated, credentialed elementary school educator born, raised, and currently living right here in Huntington Beach, California. My journey in education began in my own local community, and it has been an absolute privilege to give back to the school districts that shaped me.
My foundation in education is built on a deep understanding of how children grow and learn. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Fullerton, and later completed my Master’s in Education along with a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential through Grand Canyon University.
Before stepping into the elementary classroom, I spent a decade building foundational skills in early childhood education and specialized development. My past experience includes:
Early Childhood Educator: Serving as a Preschool Assistant (6 years) and a Lead Preschool Teacher (2 years) for the Fountain Valley School District.
ABA Therapist: Spending 2 years providing in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for toddlers with Cornerstone Therapies, which deeply informed my approach to inclusive, patient, and positive classroom management.
Versatile Educator & Substitute: Working extensively across the Ocean View and Fountain Valley School Districts as a substitute teacher, as well as teaching Kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 4th grade during Ocean View's summer school programs.
Most recently, I served as a full-time classroom teacher at Harbour View Elementary. After teaching 2nd grade, I transitioned to teaching 4th grade this past school year. During this rewarding year with my fourth graders, I also successfully completed my first year of the Teacher Induction program, further sharpening my instructional strategies, assessment tools, and student-centered approach.
I hold teaching credentials in both California and Arizona, and I am passionate about creating safe, engaging, and high-achieving classroom environments where every student feels valued.
