Walking Rugby for Organisations & Businesses
Build Stronger Teams – On and off the Pitch:
NA Spartans Walking Rugby welcome staff from local organisations, charities, public services, and businesses to take part in our walking rugby sessions. We offer a friendly, inclusive, and supportive environment that provides an opportunity for staff to connect and enhance their team-spirit together.
Walking rugby is not only a sport – it’s a powerful tool for team building and staff well-being.
Team Building through shared experience:
Bringing colleagues together in a relaxed sporting environment helps to:
Strengthen communication and trust
Break down workplace barriers and hierarchies
Encourage collaboration and mutual support
Build positive relationships outside the normal work setting
Walking rugby allows participants of different abilities to take part, ensuring everyone feels included and valued.
A Fun and Engaging staff outing:
Our sessions provide an enjoyable and active alternative to traditional team‑building activities. Staff can:
Enjoy light physical activity in a high-fun low‑competitive setting
Have fun, laugh, and socialise together
Reduce stress and improve overall wellbeing
Feel refreshed and more connected
No previous rugby experience is required – just comfortable clothing, trainers/togs, and a willingness to have fun.
Supporting Well-being and Job satisfaction:
Regular participation in walking rugby can support:
Physical and mental well-being
Increased morale and motivation
A sense of belonging and shared purpose
Positive workplace culture
Many organisations find that shared activities like walking rugby contribute to greater staff engagement and satisfaction.
Get involved:
Whether you’re looking for a one‑off team activity or a regular wellbeing initiative for your organisation, we would be delighted to welcome you.
We can currently accomodate upto 14 staff members per session. Team-building sessions are held at Cwrt-Herbert playing fields: 6-7pm on a Monday.
