Join in the Fun & Friendship

Neath Athletic Walking Rugby Team (aka The Spartans) provides an inclusive, low‑impact activity that offers fun, fitness, and friendship for people of all ages in our community.

Walking rugby is an inclusive version of rugby that is suitable for any level of ability, fitness and age.

We are a mixed‑gender (male & female), mixed‑ability team, and everyone is welcome. Our players are generally over 30, ranging up to 70+, although some are younger.

Our team delivers an inclusive and enjoyable activity that helps maintain and improve the Health and Well‑being of our community.

Please feel free to come along and give it a go — we are a very welcoming and supportive group.

We train practice & play at Cwrt-Herbert playing fields in Neath Athletic Rfc fenced rugby pitch, 6-7pm on a Monday (during the Spring, Summer & Autumn [- except bank holidays]). Come join in the fun 😊

We practice & play during the Spring, Summer & Autumn (April to October) and break from practice during the winter but still play the occasional game during our off-season.
