Solidworks Design: Hydraulic Truck Crane xct80
The project was a part of our Engineering Graphics and Introduction to CAD Sessional course. It was a solo project and I was tasked with creating a model of a hydraulic truck crane XCT80 from scratch using SolidWorks software. Without specific measurements provided, I had to estimate the dimensions of each part. As a beginner with SolidWorks, I faced challenges and had to search for the right tools to create the drawings. Despite these hurdles, I dedicated a lot of effort to the project. Finally, I assembled the parts together. I'm happy to say that I received an A+ for my work on this project, and it was a rewarding experience overall.
CATIA Design: Curzon Hall, Dhaka University
As part of our CAD/CAM sessional course, Torun Halder and I designed this project under the guidance of our course teachers. This is a historic academic building of the University of Dhaka. The measurements were not readily available in any sort of database, so we used Google Earth to get the available measurements, although we had to approximate some of the dimensions. By doing this project, we got familiar with the tools and assembly operations of CATIA software. It was a great experience to work in a team to design such structural figures, because we could exchange our ideas and make it possible. Due to our detailed work, we were able to get an A+ on this course.
