ancestors - ac baw gallery, mount vernon, ny

this was my first solo exhibition and fittingly, it was in the town of my birth. dr. Larry Spruill wrote the forward and was chiefly responsible for assembling this catalog. the educational component was under the direction of William " Billy " Thomas. he booked art talks for all of the neighboring elementary schools and junior high schools. there were over 50 works of art. this show, originally scheduled for 3 months, lasted over a year. June, 1997-98.

stamp project - creating cultural currency

this was a travelling exhibition funded by the university of California in 2000. 20 stamps were created by each artist for sale at 6 branch campus sites of the university.

orlando visual arts league

"with these hands" won third prize in a juried art show in orlando, florida in 2001. this painting now residents in southern California.

artcurian was a historical event. there were 40 mural sized works of art by 40 artists under one roof. this event was held at the Arthur Bennett hall in downtown Brooklyn, NY. it opened on February 4th, 2010.

this publication, a catalog featuring 8 artists, was fueled by my desire to educate the public about these great art makers. writing is a lost art form. i am Thankful to aron gilli for his assistance with the graphics. published in 2017

reflections of weusi-1965 to present

the exhibition was housed in two central harlem art galleries with 17 artists displaying multiple works of art. the original catalog was formatted & designed by robert daniels. his research covered two years-2023 to 2025.
