The NANSA Bowls League operates in the North-East Norfolk Area. All profits generated are donated to the NANSA charity which provides support for families and individuals with disabilities and special educational needs in Norfolk.
Games are played in both an evening and an afternoon league with three-bowl triples, a new pairs competition plus a triples Knockout Cup. In addition the League organises 3 charity tournaments over the summer season which are open to all clubs in the area and not restricted to those playing in the League.
The League was formed by just 7 clubs in 1966. The first charity donation of £100 was made in 1967. This was the equivalent of £2250 today. The League has continued to make annual donations.

President Bill Brodie and Chairman Steve Howes presenting the cheque for £2500 to Leon Smith, CEO NANSA. The money was raised during the season and much thanks should go to all Clubs participating in the league and especially those who hosted and participated in Tournaments at Suffield Park, Cawston and Erpingham which together raised half the amount donated.
NANSA was established in 1954 by a group of families for the purposes of providing meaningful and enriching activities and support to their adult children with cerebral palsy. NANSA is a registered charity (1027466)
In the years since, NANSA has grown to provide a far wider range of specialist provision, for people of all ages living with, or caring for others with, special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). In addition, NANSA also facilitates a range of projects that promote inclusion, advocacy, participation, accessibility, and awareness of/for not only those with SEND, but a wider community of neurologically diverse individuals, who may feel excluded, marginalised, or unsupported because of social, behavioural, and/or developmental differences.
The Nansa Bowls League was set up in 1966 to raise funds for Nansa.
