Shalina cursed to herself as she dug yet another hole in the sand. Behind her, the waves crashed against the beach and the sea birds laughed.
“Well laugh it up…” Shalina muttered. “We’ll see who’s laughing when I finally find this…”
Another hole turned up empty, and Shalina referred back to her map.
“Who the hell measures distances in paces anyway?”
