Curriculum

Gifted students learn thinking skills by practicing and applying the CLUE strategies to all they do. The strategies are Creative Thinking, Creative Problem Solving, Brainstorming, Brainteasers, Logical Thinking, Research, Group Dynamics, Group Discussion, Written and Oral Communication, Introspection, Critique, Regional Exploration, and the Visible Thinking Routines from Harvard’s Project Zero. These strategies are built into curriculum for all grades, PreK through CLUE English I in high school.

CLUE teachers are gifted specialists who align these strategies with both state standards and approved CLUE curriculum. While these strategies and skills spiral, the scope and sequence of academic study is thoughtful and intentional, as students are supported in building content knowledge and understanding of their unique learning styles.
