A Mathematical World Tour
Follow the mathematical clues to travel around the world. Plot the locations on your own
My Map
and see where you end up.
Mathematics Curriculum:
Number & Algebra, Geometry & Measurement, & Statistics
Simplify:
Limit the locations (& map) to students' own city or country
Add 'response validation' (to the Google Form) if you want particular answers (this could also be an extension). TIP: require ALL caps for answers
Entend:
Work out the distances between each location and the total distance travelled
Add details to the location markers (photo, Street View link, mathematical facts etc)
Groups can create their own world tours (using Google Forms) and share with peers to plot on their own
My Map
Use Google Sheets to record the relevant locations with additional/applicable information and then generate their
My Map
using the Sheet
