We have been carrying out multiple workshops in the flourish archipelago of Madeira (Portugal) showing the potential of using VR to empower kids in the creation of new multimedia content through low-cost hardware tools and free online software. After that, people started sending us requests to carry out the Workshops in different parts of the world.
Considering the enthusiasm of the VR technology in the kids assisting to this technological academy in Colombia, we accepted the invitation to carry out our Workshop by working with 14 teenagers from the different research areas of the institution (link).
We were immersed in the Summer Film Festival held in the National Film Museum in Uherské, Czech Republic invited to teach our Workshop to a group of VR enthusiasts that were naively interested to learn on novel immersive technologies (link).
Within the summer school activities that the STEM team carried out at this fantastic Science and Tech exhibition center from NASA Langley, we shared our VR approach with more than 10 kids aiming at introducing them a very resourceful way to create VR contents without having a sophisticated equipment.
With the help of the J&F Alliance group members, this Mixed Reality company specialized in military services took part of a 4 hours Workshop with 17 kids from a local church in Hampton, Virginia. Kids had access to state-of-the-art VR equipment to carry out their virtual environments.
In the amazing installations of the "Exploratorio" at the "Parque Explora" in Medellin, we have the opportunity to create several VR glasses and virtual contents with the 15 participants of all ages that particpated in the activity (link).
In the beautiful installations of the library of Câmara de Lobos, we receive a group of 12 kids who worked in pairs to build, imagine and create the elements for a truly immersive experience with virtual reality.
