Pen Palestine Activities 2022

Pen Palestine is open to teachers, youth group leaders and coaches of children between the ages of 8-18 who are ready to commit to guiding a group of at least 10 students through the exchange of 4-8 handwritten letters over the course of several months. In an effort to expedite and maintain a productive speed of communication all letters, photos and drawings are exchanged electronically.

In the English language the word "pal" means friend. A "pen pal" is a person one comes to know through frequent friendly written correspondence.

Pen Palestine connects youth from Palestine with children all over the world through the exchange of handwritten letters, photos and drawings. The process is engaging and emotionally impactful. Young people, teachers and school administrators alike experience life-changing moments of real, palpable, human interaction. Changing lives since 2018 when a group of 15 student leaders in Northern California reached out and connected with children in Gaza, Pen Palestine is now open to teachers, youth group leaders and coaches ready to guide children aged 8–18 through the exchange of stories, dreams and ideas.
