CalFresh is a nutrition program that helps households buy healthy foods.

In California, it used to be known as the Food Stamp Program. At the national level it is known as SNAP, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

Due to the pandemic, everyone who qualifies for CalFresh is getting the maximum benefit amount.
The maximum benefit amount has been temporarily increased.
County offices are experiencing a high call volume.
