Parent Volunteer Requirement
MYB is built on the support of our families. Parent volunteers play a key role in creating the experience that makes our league so special.
What sets MYB apart is the atmosphere and the memories we create for our players—stepping onto the field in a professional-style uniform, hearing their name announced as they walk up to bat, playing under the lights at Fellin Field, and enjoying the full game-day experience with the snack shack, scoreboard, and more. These moments are what make MYB unique, and they’re made possible by volunteers.
To bring this experience to life and keep it affordable for families, we rely on parents to help with
Uniform distribution
Game Day Field Preparation
Snack shack operations
Game announcing
Scoreboard operation
Fundraising efforts that support events, awards, and field maintenance
Volunteer Expectations
Each family is asked to volunteer two times per season. Families with multiple players are asked to volunteer one additional time (three total).
Families serving as team managers or board members are not required to volunteer additional time
A Bond of $150 per player ($200 max per family) will be collected and only cashed if requirements are not met.
If you are unsure of your volunteer requirement, please contact: MYBbluejays@gmail.com
Volunteer Buy-Out Option
Families may choose to opt out of volunteering by paying $150 per player or $200 maximum per family
Please note: even with buy-outs, we still need volunteers to operate key parts of the game-day experience. Without enough support, we may not be able to run the snack shack, provide announcements, or operate scoreboards during games.
Our board members are also volunteers who dedicate significant time each week to organize and run the league. Your participation helps ensure we can continue delivering a high-quality, memorable season for all players.
