Middlesex/Takeover Baseball Camps are a great opportunity for players to build skills, gain confidence, and learn from local coaches and directors who are deeply involved in our Middlesex baseball community.
As a partner of MYB, weβre excited to feature this program for our families.

Middlesex Youth Baseball (MYB) is more than just a baseball league β itβs a community built around kids, families, teamwork, and a love for the game.
From first-time Tee Ball players learning how to swing a bat to teenagers playing full-field baseball under the lights, MYB provides a place for players to grow, compete, build confidence, and create lifelong memories.
Our goal is simple: create an environment where kids can develop skills, make friends, have fun, and stay connected to the game for years to come.
Our youngest division focuses on fun, confidence-building, and learning the basics of baseball in a positive and encouraging environment.
β Everyone bats
β Scores are not kept
β Practices are division-wideΒ pre-season, no formal practices once games startΒ
β Saturday morning games
β Development-focused and beginner-friendly
Many of our players start here and stay with the league all the way through high school.

The name β46/60β refers to the baseball field dimensions:
β’ 46 feet from pitching mound to home plate
β’ 60 feet between bases
This division introduces players to more structured baseball while still heavily focusing on development. Games are primarily coach pitch early in the season, with many teams transitioning toward player pitching as the season progresses.

β Umpired games
β Announced games
β Playoffs and championships
β More advanced uniforms and equipment
β Coach pitch to start with goal of player pitch by end of season
β No stealing, no leading
β Inning by inning run caps to keep games moving and competitive
β Competitive, but development remains the priorityΒ

Players continue building baseball IQ, defensive skills, pitching, catching, and situational play while preparing for the transition to full-field baseball.
β Increased competitiveness
β Typically 2 games per week, plus practices (per coach)
β Announced games
β Professional looking uniforms with player names on back
β Umpired games
β Night games under the lights
β Stealing and advanced gameplay
β Playoffs and championships
β All-Star opportunities

Although the distances increase, this division still plays on the same overall field size as 46/60.
π Played at Steve Fellin Field in Middlesex
β60/90β is full-sized baseball:
β’ 60 feet, 6 inches from mound to plate
β’ 90 feet between bases
This is where the field itself finally becomes full-sized baseball, similar to high school, college, and professional baseball.
Babe Ruth gives players the opportunity to continue sharpening their skills, compete against surrounding towns, and experience different levels of talent and gameplay. For many players, it provides a strong balance alongside travel baseball and school teams β competitive and developmental, but often with less pressure and intensity than year-round travel schedules.
Games may be played in Middlesex or in surrounding towns, depending on the season schedule. Travel is typically within about 25 minutes of Middlesex.
π Home games played at Cook Field in Middlesex
π Away games played in surrounding towns
What truly makes MYB special is the community behind it.
Our league is powered by volunteer coaches, board members, parents, sponsors, photographers, team parents, and local supporters who step up year after year to create an incredible experience for our players.
From field prep and fundraising to photography, team support, scorekeeping, and events β MYB succeeds because of the people who care deeply about youth sports and this community.
Throughout the season, families can look forward to:
βΎ Opening Day celebrations
βΎ Playoffs & Championship games
βΎ All-Star opportunities
βΎ Home Run Derby events
βΎ End-of-season celebrations
βΎ Powder Puff softball game for moms
βΎ Community fundraisers and special events
βΎ Clinics and camps offered through local program partnerships
For many families, MYB becomes part of their childhood memories and family traditions.
Players often begin in Tee Ball, grow through each division with their friends and teammates, and eventually return years later as coaches, volunteers, and parents themselves.
Whether your child is picking up a glove for the first time or preparing for advanced baseball competition, we are excited to welcome your family to Middlesex Youth Baseball.
See you at the fields. βΎπ
