For this project I was tasked with finding and sharing several different types of media and file types that were ethically sourced, as in they follow the Creative Commons Licenses and were shared appropriately.
I found this image by searching for "naruto" on the Creative Commons website.
I downloaded the original sized file from flickr and then uploaded it to this website.
This image is marked with a CC BY-2.0 License, meaning someone is free to:

Adapt- remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

"Naruto Uzumaki" by cocamert is licensed under CC BY 2.0.
This is a gif that I found by using the Creative Commons search portal, under the openverse category.
This gif was marked with a CC BY 2.5 license meaning:
Anyone can:
Share - copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, even commercially.
Adapt - remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms.
Under the following terms:

No additional restrictions - You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
After opening the gif on openverse, It linked me to the source on Wikimedia Commons, where I then downloaded it and then uploaded back onto this website.
A gif is a filetype that can contain more than one frame, which allows for a short animation, however the GIF format does not necessarily mean that it will be animated.
"Cat paws kneading" by Couch-scratching-cats is licensed under CC BY 2.5.
This is the video that I chose to embed, I am a very big fan of kurzgesagt as they have some very insightful and informative videos.
Taking a step back from all of the negativity that we are constantly surrounded by in our everyday lives, especially in regards to what we see on the internet, Kurzgesagt tries to shine a brighter view on the accomplishments of humanity and our future as a species.
I embedded this video from youtube using the built in function on google-sites, which allowed me to search for this video inside the application and insert it seamlessly.
Since there isn't a Creative Commons license available on this video, I looked at the Kurzgesagt website and found that they allow the use of their videos for non-commercial purposes under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0
This is a generic audio sample of Applause. I got the idea from a game I play where it will play applause at the end of every song that you complete.
I found this particular applause audio by searching for "applause" on the Creative Commons search portal with the openverse category, after which I downloaded this file from freesound.org after creating an account with them. I then uploaded the file to my google drive and created a shareable link and embedded it into this website.
This audio file is listed as a Creative Commons 0, which means that:

"Applause 2.WAV" by Sandermotions is marked with CC0 1.0.
During this project I learned so much about Creative Commons and the copyrights regarding media. I had learned about the various filetypes and media formats in another Computer Science class, but I had no idea that the licenses for things were so important and that there were so many of them! It really makes a difference in regards to what you can use and how you can use it, which I suppose makes sense as people really don't want their works stolen. I had always just searched google for whatever I needed before without regards to if I was able to use it legally or not! I'm sure I've used media for projects that I didn't have permission for before, but now I will be sure to use the tools available to make sure there are proper licenses on whatever I use in the future!
