A Pastoral Invitation to the Living Stones of God’s Household
The Christian Life Center stands at the heart of our parish as a living expression of what it means to be the Church—God’s family gathered, formed, and sent in the name of Christ. Scripture reminds us that we are “living stones… being built into a spiritual house” (1 Peter 2:5), called together by the Spirit to grow in faith, deepen our relationships, and share in the mission entrusted to us. Like the early Christian community that devoted itself to teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer (Acts 2:42–47), our Center exists to nurture discipleship in its fullness—mind, heart, and soul. Within these walls, people of every age and walk of life encounter Christ through learning, service, worship, and community life.
At the same time, the Christian Life Center reflects the dynamic, everyday rhythm of the Church’s life—where faith becomes embodied in real practices, real friendships, and real service. Here, the gifts of the Holy Spirit are discovered, shared, and strengthened, echoing Paul’s teaching that “to each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good” (1 Corinthians 12:7). Through events, ministries, formation programs, and acts of charity, we learn how to live as one Body, united in Christ and committed to building up God’s Kingdom. This page invites you to explore how the Christian Life Center fosters spiritual growth, community belonging, joyful fellowship, and active mission—helping us truly become the household of God in the world.
The French Mass is a monthly celebration of faith, culture, and community within the St. John of the Cross Cluster. Held at the Christian Life Center (CLC) on the third Saturday of each month at 9:00 a.m., this Mass offers an opportunity for French-speaking families and all parishioners to worship together in prayer, joy, and cultural richness.
This liturgy is especially welcoming to families and children. Young parishioners actively participate by serving at the altar, proclaiming the readings, and singing during the Mass, helping them grow in faith while learning about French language, traditions, and Catholic culture. Through this experience, children and families are invited to deepen their spiritual life while celebrating their cultural heritage.
Following the Mass, all are invited to remain for indoor games and fellowship, along with donuts, coffee, and tea. This time of hospitality encourages community building, friendship, and shared joy among parishioners of all ages.
Whether you are fluent in French, learning the language, or simply interested in celebrating a multicultural expression of the Catholic faith, you are warmly invited to join us for this monthly French Mass at the Christian Life Center.
The Children’s Mass is a monthly celebration of faith designed especially for children and families within the St. John of the Cross Cluster. Celebrated once a month on a rotating basis among the parishes of the cluster, this Mass invites children to actively participate in the liturgy while growing in faith, confidence, and a sense of belonging in the Church.
Children take an active role in the celebration by serving at the altar, proclaiming the readings, assisting with the collection, and singing during the Mass. Through this hands-on participation, young parishioners learn the meaning of the Mass and experience the joy of worship as an engaged and welcoming community.
Following the Mass, families are invited to remain for indoor games and fellowship, along with donuts, coffee, and tea. This time of hospitality allows children to build friendships and gives families an opportunity to connect with one another in a relaxed and joyful setting.
The Children’s Mass is open to all families across the cluster and offers a nurturing environment where children can encounter Christ, learn the traditions of the Catholic faith, and experience the Church as a welcoming and joyful community.
