Join us at St. John of the Cross Cluster for Inspiring Homilies and Faith-Filled Fellowship
St. John of the Cross Cluster & Christian Life Center (CLC)
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Grace and peace to you in every season of the Church’s life.
As we journey together through the liturgical year—Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, and Ordinary Time—we remember that our faith is not lived in a single moment, but as a lifelong walk with Christ. In every season, the Lord forms His people, renews hearts, and deepens our communion with Him. As Scripture reminds us, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).
At the heart of the St. John of the Cross Cluster and the Christian Life Center (CLC) is a living community of disciples. God calls us not only to attend church, but to belong, to serve, and to grow together. Jesus invites each of us: “Remain in me, as I remain in you” (John 15:4). Our life in Christ is sustained by fellowship, relationship, and shared mission.
This is where stewardship becomes a way of life. Stewardship is not simply what we give; it is how we live. It flows from our relationship with God and with one another. When we pray together, learn together, serve together, and support one another, stewardship becomes visible in our daily discipleship. As Saint Paul teaches, “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit… To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit” (1 Corinthians 12:4,7).
Our parishes and the Christian Life Center exist so that every person—children, families, couples, elders, seekers, and servants—may encounter Christ through Scripture, the sacraments, formation, and community life. Through the School of Faith at CLC, we deepen our understanding of the Gospel. Through our homeschool children and youth ministries, we form young hearts in love for Christ and His Church. Through the sacramental life, we are healed, nourished, and strengthened. Through Marriage Preparation, we accompany couples in building their homes on Christ, the true foundation of love (cf. Matthew 7:24).
Stewardship grows where relationships grow. Fellowship creates trust, trust inspires service, and service builds the Body of Christ. The early Church gives us the model: “They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of bread and to the prayers” (Acts 2:42). In that same spirit, we seek to be a Church where no one walks alone and every gift finds a place.
Each season of life brings blessings and struggles. Some rejoice, others carry burdens. Yet the Lord speaks tenderly: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Christ walks with us in joy and in trial, transforming our hearts through mercy and hope.
A steward understands that everything is gift—time, talent, treasure, faith, family, and community. As Scripture says, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace” (1 Peter 4:10). When we offer ourselves generously, the Church becomes more alive, more welcoming, and more missionary.
Through your prayer, participation, generosity, and presence, the Gospel continues to be lived in the St. John of the Cross Cluster and at the Christian Life Center. Thank you for being builders of fellowship, witnesses of faith, and stewards of God’s love.
As we walk through every liturgical season together, may the Lord bless your families, strengthen your relationships, and guide our community ever closer to His Sacred Heart.
Take everything to God in prayer.
Peace be with you.
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Simon, SMA
