The young but talented 2019 Boy’s Water Polo team is off to an exciting start to their season. After the first couple of games and their first official tournament, the Mustangs stay on top with a 6-1 winning record.
This past weekend at the Chino Hills Tournament, hosted at Upland High School, they won their way to the championship game and placed second in the Gold bracket. At this tournament junior-starter Sebastian Kenley (#10) and sophomore-starter Kyle Seifen (#6), were both awarded All Tournament Team, highlighting their top performance among the 100’s of athletes who participated over the weekend.
At the tournament overall, K. Seifen led in goals scored with 12, S. Kenley followed closely behind with 10 goals, and not far from him senior-starter Gabriel Mucha (#4) scored 9 goals. In the cage, senior-starting goalie Tyler Marnin had 31 saves.
Although season has just begun, it’s safe to say that this year Coach Tyler is yet again leading a team that continues to uphold the championship legacy of the teams before them. The Mustangs are looking forward to league games coming up and are aiming to make CIF playoffs for another year in a row.
