Halal Foods at Lism💝re

Allah clearly declares in the Quran and establishes the principle that all foods are Halal (permissible) unless specifically declared Haram (forbidden), with the primary prohibitions being pork, blood, dead animals, and those sacrificed to other than God. It also mandates that God's name be pronounced during the slaughter of animals and emphasizes eating "pure and good" things.

Australia has halal meat primarily to serve large and growing international export markets in Muslim-majority countries, particularly in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, where halal certification is a commercial requirement. The Australian red meat industry participates in these markets by meeting importing country regulations under the Australian Government Supervised Halal Program, which involves slaughter by accredited Muslim slaughtermen. While the process also benefits the domestic Australian Muslim population, the main driver for halal meat production is to access these lucrative international markets.
