All 501(c)(3) organizations are required under federal law to make certain governing and financial documents available to the public. Specifically, 26 U.S. Code § 6104(d)(1)(A) states:
“Each organization exempt from taxation under section 501(a) and described in section 501(c)… shall make available for public inspection its annual return and exemption application.”
