The song that I chose for this assignment was Vanilla by Sunset Rollercoaster. I found this song last summer and I have not been able to stop listening to it since. It has been a great source for my focus since it is so calming. The most interesting thing about this song is that the intro and outro rolling in and out of the two other songs on the Vanilla Villa album. This fact made it a bit more difficult to diagraph for me. The main timbres that you can find in this song is one of a guitar and a drum set. The way that they work together complements each other so well. They would contrast each other if they were not balanced with frequency and volume, but Sunset Rollercoaster was able to make it work so well. The drums even get their own solo before the last chorus of the song. Because of the short instrumental break, I decided to call this moment the bridge. The reason why I included so many choruses is because if the title is anywhere in the song, it would most likely be in the chorus. Also, there was little to no variation in the notes for which the part that I labeled as the chorus appeared. I was interesting trying to do an in depth dissection of this song s9ince I never thought of the song's structure, or growth. In addition, I never thought that it would add a layer of difficulty since the song is short and it is in between two other songs on the album. For me, the only thing that mattered was the mood of the song since I just needed something to study to. I really did enjoy the challenge that song gave me when trying to create my diagram.
