The 3 Envelope Flash Card Method - This is an efficient way of learning information that focuses on testing yourself, learning what you don't yet know and not spending time on information you do already know. You should give it a try.
Here is a step by step guide to setting up and using this flashcard revision technique:
Create flashcards by writing the questions on one side and the answers on the other side. Take your time over this, it is part of learning the information, make them neat and legible, don't put too much information on them. More flashcards with one question, one answer is much better than less flashcards crammed with information. Untidy, disorganised flashcards lead to an untidy, disorganised head space.
Put them all in the EVERYDAY envelope
On Monday look through the EVERYDAY envelope, questions you answer correctly go in to the TUESDAY & THURSDAY envelope. Any that you get wrong stay in the EVERYDAY envelope.
On Tuesday look through the EVERYDAY envelope, then look through the TUESDAY & THURSDAY, you got these write yesterday so are just revising really, if you get them right they stay in the TUESDAY & THURSDAY, any that you get wrong go in the EVERYDAY envelope.
