Grading

My grading practice

I want you to gain confidence in the overall process of creating electronic music, so I emphasize weekly lab practice and learning from mistakes. Now that we have moved to an online format, the remainder of the course will be comprised of reading, discussions, quizzes, a final exam, and projects based on our available technology. Do you know how to check your grades and submission comments in Canvas?

How your coursework is weighted

The final grade is a reflection of your overall participation in the course and includes components like your attendance, timeliness and quality of homework completion, class participation, as well as, quizzes and exams. Be sure and ask for support from myself and others in the class so that you can earn the best possible grade.

As a former student, I know that getting good grades can sometimes be stressful. To help reduce that stress and improve the likelihood of getting your best grades, try and allow yourself the time and space you need to do your best work. Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can do today. If you get stuck on an assignment, reach out to me or one of your peers. I welcome your questions and I'm happy to help you think through your ideas so you can successfully complete an assignment. You know how to reach me, right?
