Object Class: EUCLID
SCP-096 is a humanoid creature approximately 2.38 meters (7'10") tall, with pale, emaciated skin and disproportionately long limbs. It exhibits almost no muscle mass, yet possesses extreme physical strength and speed. Its face is normally hidden, as it covers its eyes with its hands when not in an agitated state.
Size
Approximately 2.38 meters (7 feet, 10 inches).
Location
Housed in a 6m x 6m x 6m steel-reinforced cell at Site-19 (a high-security SCP facility). Cell is lined with 10 cm thick soundproofing material to muffle its cries.
Age
Unknown (possibly centuries or older)
Movement
300 km/h (186 mph)
Status
it's classified as Euclid due to breach potential.
If any human sees SCP-096’s face (even a fraction of it), the creature enters an irreversible state of extreme distress. It will emit loud crying/screeching sounds before charging at the viewer at speeds exceeding 300 km/h (186 mph), ignoring all obstacles.
Notes
Victims report instantaneous dread upon seeing its face, even in blurry images. urviving witnesses (rare) often require amnestics or euthanasia.
This project is my work, centered around SCP-096. It's designed to present a story I've created, drawing directly from my deepest fears: dense forests, imposing mountains, and the unsettling sight of human-like creatures. I'm delivering this narrative through a video uploaded to YouTube, with a Twitter thread serving as the primary narrative model.
The story unfolds with SCP-096's successful escape from an SCP Foundation facility. The entity flees to a secluded, mountainous region covered in thick forest. By chilling coincidence, on the very day of its containment breach, a group of university students heads to this same mountain for a hiking trip, aiming to de-stress after their final exams.
As they trek deeper into the wilderness, their path horrifyingly converges with the escaped entity. One of the students, acting on instinct or sheer terror, manages to snap a photograph of the creature. This terrifying encounter immediately cuts their adventure short. Petrified, they abandon their ascent and rush back home. The story then culminates with one of the students recounting their terrifying experience in a lengthy, detailed Twitter thread on his personal account.
