Objectives

Our main goals are:

1. For students to be able to evaluate the trustworthiness of digital information.

2. To empower our students to be critical thinkers through investigative thinking and self reflection

3. To highlight the benefits of utilizing overlapping concepts found in various literacy educations


Learning outcomes:

By the end of these lessons, students should be able to:

  1. Identify markers of quality in order to evaluate information/sources
  2. Consider the role of context and social construction of meaning in their evaluation of sources
  3. Utilize lateral reading techniques to quickly and effectively evaluate sources of information
