LOKALINTAS: JIWA, ALAM DAN WARISAN ORANG ASLI is a cultural program designed to highlight and celebrate the uniqueness of Malaysia’s Indigenous communities. The event emphasizes the deep connection between human spirit, nature, and ancestral traditions. Through three main segments which is exhibition, discourse, and performances. The program serves as both a platform for appreciation and a space for dialogue, bridging Indigenous voices with the wider public.
Program Goals
To honor and preserve the cultural heritage of Indigenous communities as part of Malaysia’s national identity.
To raise public awareness about cultural diversity and inclusivity.
To use art as a bridge for understanding the soul, nature, and heritage of Indigenous peoples.
To inspire younger generations to appreciate and continue these traditions.

The exhibition showcases Indigenous arts, crafts, and traditional artifacts that reflect creativity and their close relationship with nature. Each piece carries symbolic meaning, representing ways of life, beliefs, and cultural values passed down through generations. Visitors will discover how natural materials such as rattan, bamboo, wood, and stone are transformed into functional and artistic creations, offering insight into the richness of Indigenous visual culture.
PERSEMBAHAN LANGKAH TRADISI
The performance segment brings to life traditional music, dance, and rituals of Indigenous communities. These performances are not merely entertainment but expressions of spirituality, identity, and harmony with nature. Through traditional instruments, ritualistic movements, and ancestral songs, audiences are invited to experience the authenticity and vitality of Indigenous art. The segment also highlights the younger generation of Indigenous performers, proving that their heritage remains relevant and alive today.
PAMERAN AKAR DAN JIWA
The discourse segment features discussions with academics, cultural activists, and Indigenous representatives. Topics include identity, heritage preservation, contemporary challenges, and the role of Indigenous communities in Malaysia’s cultural landscape. This dialogue provides an authentic platform for Indigenous voices, fostering deeper understanding of their realities while exploring how art and culture can serve as mediums for advocacy and empowerment.
