Service Opportunities
MtownNAZ partners with community organizations
to provide assistance to needy members of our community
We are always looking for new opportunities to serve those in need.
There are several opportunities for church members to volunteer.
Below is a list of some of our community partners
Morgantown Mission
MtownNAZ partners with Morgantown Mission a non-profit ministry and outreach to the community. The mission provides emergency financial support to the disadvantaged in our community. They operate a thrift store, a food pantry and an outreach program for children and youth targeting children and youth living in government housing. Twice a year (Spring & Fall) MtownNAZ provides a hot meal to the children attending the mission outreach. In addition MtownNAZ provides a financial assistance to the mission when requested to help the mission meet a specific need. When the mission needs of specific items collected we are often contacted regarding that need and MtownNAZ assists in meeting the need. For more information about this community partner contact Pastor Ruth Morgan rmorgan6891@gmail.com or Hannah Gruber horsey98@bellsouth.net
The Kitchen
MtownNAZ partners with The Kitchen, a non profit soup kitchen ministry, administered by Belmont General Baptist Church. The Kitchen provides a meal twice a week (Monday & Thursday) to 180 people. Seventy percent of these are elderly and people that are shut in with no transportation. Once a quarter MtownNAz provides the meal. In addition, The Kitchen is always in need of items to cook and prepare meals. Please consider donating food items. A list of needed items is posted below. The soup Kitchen is located across the street from the Public Library. For more information about this community partner or to assist MtownNAZ as we provide a meal please contact Pastor Ruth Morgan rmorgan6891@gmail.com
