As the conference closes, The Research Team makes prepares to return home. Benita, Lynn, and Teddy-Bo took to the road bright and early while the remainder of the team sat in the closing session. Karen took to the streets for a little sight seeing. The rest of the team took to the skies.
Lynn, Benita, and Teddy-Bo left the hotel before the sun was up. They had a 12+ hour drive back to Alabama. Lynn will take a flight from there back to Houston.
Karen went to check out Canton Avenue. It is considered the steepest street in the U.S.
Stephen and Shaylee met the flight crew for the 737 they were boarding. They added to their Boeing card collection.

Teddy-Bo left Pittsburgh with Benita and Lynn. They drove through four other states before finally arriving in Huntsville, AL.
Teddy-Bo made a new friend in Kentucky. Kentucky Ted decided to move to Alabama too. He chose a blue shirt for the road trip in honor of Myositis awareness.
Benita played the song Sweet Home Alabama when they crossed the Alabama state line. Teddy-Bo smiled because he was close to Benita's house.
Benita was driving past the U.S. Space and Rocket Center and Teddy-Bo begged to see the rockets. Benita was too tired to take him on a tour of the center but she drove him around the outside so he could get a glimpse.
Teddy-Bo loved the giant rocket in the Apollo Courtyard. Benita promised to take him on a tour of the center sometime so he can see the Saturn V rocket that's on display hortizontally in the building. (The weather was destroying it so they are preserving it in the building. Visitors can go in the building and walk under it and even see one of the lunar modules.
Teddy-Bo saw the Space Camp building. He thinks that would be a blast! Benita told him they can watch the movie "Space Camp" which was filmed here in the 80s.
