AR Tracking

Lecture in Class

We will review the examples in the slides and brainstorm the possibilities of AR

Assignment:

• This is a working class period. 

• Each student will pick an AR Method and develop it in the class. 

• Ensure that we have an even split of all of the 3 methods. (Ideas are listed below but the sky is the limit for your ideas coming to life in AR)

  • Image Tracking (Flat or Curved)

    • Make a Business Card or Game Card

  • World Tracking 

    • Use an existing Character Animation or Object to add to a world

  • Face Tracking

    • Use a 2D or 3D Asset to add to the face

1. Create the experience

2. Add the QR code to your slide with the trackable image or qr code

3. Document the experience with video and photos so that we can experience the work if we don't have access to the software or someone doesn't have a phone. - this can then go in your portfolio as a test file too or in your reel.

4. Deadline: One week after lecture.
