The Student Peer Facilitators’ Circle under the Division of Student Affairs primarily offers services to students of Mindanao State University – Main Campus. However, our support may occasionally extend beyond this scope when necessary.
Student Peer Facilitators' Circle is a student-led organization dedicated to promoting mental health awareness, providing support, and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues within our university community.
"Singayo" is a Meranao term referring to SPFC (Student Peer Facilitators' Circle). It means "aspiration" or "deep desire." The name reflects the commitment of the organization's members and volunteers who aspire to improve the well-being of their peers and provide meaningful support during difficult times.
We are an adjunct association organized by the Guidance and Counseling Section under the Division of Student Affairs to widen its reaching out program for the increasing number of college students. We organize mental health campaigns, workshops, peer support sessions, awareness events, and collaborate with professionals to educate and support students. We also provide resources and a safe space to talk.
Singayo-SPFC is guided by a deep commitment to mental health and student well-being. While there are many valuable student organizations on campus, what sets us apart is our focus on providing emotional and psychological support. As an initiative under the Guidance and Counseling Section, we work closely with professionals to offer safe spaces, peer-led support, and meaningful programs that promote mental wellness. Our work is rooted in compassion, respect, and the belief that mental health matters just as much as physical health.
Any bona fide 2nd and/or 3rd year student who is passionate about mental health advocacy and helping others is welcome to join—regardless of background or experience.
