This page includes a collection of my assignments for my Fieldwork in Adapted Physical Education (KIN 489A) course for Spring 2025. In this class, I had the opportunity to work one-on-one with a student with a disability. I assessed them, set goals for them, and worked with them to attain those goals. I also had the opportunity to teach two group lessons to students with disabilities and observe multiple APE teachers in the field.
This is the first lesson plan I wrote for this course. I worked with students between the ages of 4 and 8 and had them participate in a tag game that I called Cupid's Arrow. I included a couple of other fun activities in a Valentine's Day theme.
Performing fitness exercises in my Musical Hearts activity.
Student demonstration of the rules in my Cupid's Arrow activity.
Demonstration of an underhanded throw for my Bocce Ball activity.
This is the second lesson plan I wrote for this course. I worked with students between the ages of 9 and 17 and had them participate in a Bocce Ball game against one another. I included progressions in the main activity. I also included a couple of other fun activities in a Moana theme.
This is a copy of my AIM coding reflections. When I taught my second lesson for this class, I had someone take a video of me teaching. Then, I watched the video back, filled out each of these Excel Sheets, and wrote reflections on what I saw as I taught the lesson.
This semester, I was able to observe many APE teachers in the field. This document includes my reflections on each of the days I spent with these teachers, as well as reflections from my experience in the After School Adapted Physical Education Program (ASAPP).Â

I used the Elementary CTAPE for my student's standardized assessment. While this assessment is not yet standardized, it was used in this class to help collect data to eventually standardize the assessment.
This is the second part of the CTAPE standardized assessment.
I used the CTAPE non-standardized assessment items for my student's pre-assessment.
