This page includes a collection of my assignments for my Fieldwork in Adapted Physical Education (KIN 489A) course for Fall 2024. In this class, I had the opportunity to work one-on-one with a student with a disability. I assessed them, set goals for them, and worked with them to attain those goals. I also had the opportunity to teach two group lessons to students with disabilities and observe an APE teacher in the field.
This is the first lesson plan I wrote for this course. I worked with students between the ages of 13 and 16 and taught them a hula dance. I included a couple of other fun activities in an Island Adventure theme.
This is the second lesson plan I wrote for this course. I worked with students between the ages of 4 and 8 and had them participate in a scavenger hunt. I included a couple of other fun activities in a Thanksgiving Dinner theme.
In this class, I had the opportunity to create and execute a Behavior Management plan with a student. My student was a 7-year-old who loves Mo Willems books, so I created a plan that was themed around the Pigeon Presents and Elephant and Piggie series by Mo Willems.
I used the TGMD-3 as my standardized assessment for my student. This document includes the results for the pre-assessment.
These are the results of the post-assessment I conducted with my student for the TGMD-3 standardized assessment.
