In May 2018, I traveled alongside another classmate to Berlin, Germany to research the German education system compared to ours. While there, we interviewed teachers and collected/created authentic materials to use in a classroom. We crafted an original curriculum onsite, and presented our research and lesson plans at a campus conference. The trip and the conference were funded by our university.
During my time as an undergraduate student, I presented much of my work, participating in panels at campus conferences. Conferences I participated in include the KU Composition Conference and the Conference of the Commission on Human Diversity: Sharing Perspectives & Envisioning the Future.
