Rewind back to May when our students were finishing up 6th grade, Ms. Oricchio and Mr. Young absolutely could not wait to meet their future students. Soooooooo...

We kinda hijacked the sixth graders for a day and took over the World Cultures classes. It was, ahem, a serious day of learning in May after STAAR testing when everyone was super-focused on academic rigor and such. 

We read about giant prehistoric armadillos (we swear it's in the Texas learning standards. Okay, well it should be.) and then we did a team-building activity. Groups of six had to work together to draw one big pink armadillo in six minutes with everyone taking and USING a one minute turn. 

Chaos ensued. We have the receipts. They will debut in our hallway and on this page August 15th. Stay tuned..
