The responders

Making Canva Presentations Interactive
with Canva LIVE
Did you know you can turn on a Q&A feature in your Canva Presentations? AND you can make notations on your presentations while presenting. This means you can have students come up to the Promethean Board and write on your Presentation Slides.
Live Q&A and Clarification Sessions
Activity: Use the Q&A feed during a lecture or presentation of new material.
Benefit: Students can submit questions in real-time without interrupting the flow. You can screen and address them at natural break points or at the end. The comments are visible only to you (in Presenter View) until you choose to display one on the main screen, giving you control.
Instant Warm-Up or Exit Ticket Checks
Activity: Present a single question on a slide (e.g., "What is one key takeaway from today's lesson?" or "What's one thing you're still confused about?").
Benefit: Students type their short answers into the comments, acting as a quick, anonymous check for understanding. This provides immediate formative assessment data you can use to adjust your lesson.
Real-Time Polling and Quick Opinion Gathering
Activity: Ask an open-ended question that solicits opinions or predictions (e.g., "What do you predict will happen next in the story?" or "Which of these three options do you think is the best solution?").
Benefit: Students submit their thoughts via the comment feature. You can then display a few key responses to spark a live, moderated discussion, making all students feel included, even those who are hesitant to raise their hands.
Emotional Check-Ins with Reactions
Activity: Ask the class to use the "reactions" feature (hearts, emojis, etc.) at specific moments.
Benefit: You can use reactions as a non-verbal gauge of mood or understanding. For example, "Give me a heart reaction if you fully understand this concept," or "Send a thumbs-up if you completed this step in the activity." It's a quick, low-stakes way to see the class's overall response.
Interactive Brainstorming and Vocabulary Review
Activity: Display a prompt, image, or new vocabulary word on the screen. Ask students to share related words, associations, or synonyms using the comments feed.
Benefit: This creates a live, collaborative word wall or idea cloud visible in your Presenter View. You can then quickly pull the best ideas to display on the main screen for the whole class to see and discuss.
