On the 1st day of Techmas, Canva game to me....a little MAGIC under the tree!
Magic Studio tools make lesson planning merry and bright and take your editing to the next level!
Let's check out some of Mrs. B's favorite Magic Studio Tools
Using Canva Magic Write
Magic Write is like having an instant writing and brainstorming partner right inside Canva! It's an AI-powered tool that is available in Canva Docs as well as other design tools to assist you with creating and rewriting content.
Quickly create lesson plans, activities, social media posts, and even talking points for a topic or concept. Type a simple prompt, a topic, or a question into Magic Write and see what it can do for you!
Magic Write Activity:
Open a Canva Doc and use the Magic Write tool to generate 5 differentiated lesson hooks, bell-ringer questions, or exit ticket prompts for a lesson you plan to teach soon.
Then, use Magic Write's text transformation features (like "More like this," or "This but") to refine the response.
Using Canva Magic Studio Tools
Magic Studio is like having an amazing AI sidekick! These tools can help you take your designs and match the vision in your head. From removing the background with one click to changing the background to erasing and adding something new to the image, you can level up your design game with Magic Studio Tools!
Magic Studio Tools Activity:
Create a custom visual resource for an upcoming lesson using at least two different Canva Magic Studio tools: Magic Media (Text-to-Image) and one image editing tool like Background Remover, Background Generator, Magic Grab, Image to Video, Magic Edit, or Magic Expand.
Ideas:
Generate: Use a text prompt in Magic Media to create a unique image tailored to a specific lesson concept (e.g., a hyper-realistic illustration of an atom's nucleus, a 1920s newspaper editor writing in a rush, a metaphor for the water cycle).
Edit: Use Magic Grab to select, separate, and move the main object, or use Magic Edit to add or replace an element in the image (e.g., add a Santa hat to the atom, replace the newspaper editor's quill with a laptop).
Use: Add a title or a question to your final design to turn it into a visual analysis activity or a bell-ringer prompt for your students.
Points to Ponder...
How could Magic Write or Magic Studio Tools be useful to you as a teacher creating content and materials for your students?
How could your students use these tools in your class to create products for your class?
