Anatomy & Physiology Course Information

Course Description: Human Anatomy and Physiology is a laboratory-based course that investigates the structure and function of the human body. This course is the perfect foundation for students wanting to expand their vocabularies and learn about the body and its levels of organization, as well as the cooperation required between those levels. Additionally, students will explore the impact of diseases on certain body systems. Students will engage in many lab-centered activities and experiments related to a true understanding of the structure and function of the human body. 

Working from the topics of basic anatomical terminology to the biochemical composition of the human body, and each of the major systems of the body, students will learn anatomical content using various methods including lectures, discussions, cooperative learning, laboratory experiments, and hands-on projects.

Course Materials: Students should come prepared to class each day with their Anatomy & Physiology 3-Subject spiral notebook and a pencil. Colored pencils and glue sticks are HIGHLY recommended. Project materials will be necessary throughout the semester, students will be informed when needed.
